Managing Your Projects
Managing your projects
Section titled “Managing your projects”Once a project has been created, you can update its details, reassign it to a different responsible person, or remove it entirely, all from the Projects dashboard.
Step 1: Open the project menu
Section titled “Step 1: Open the project menu”On the Projects page, hover over any project card and click the ⋮ (three-dot) icon in the top-right corner of the card. This opens a small menu with four options:
- Edit
- Delete
- Upload preview
- Delete preview
Tip: The DEMO DATA project cannot be edited or deleted. It’s a read-only sample project provided with every account.
Step 2: Edit a project
Section titled “Step 2: Edit a project”Click Edit to open the Editing project window. From here you can update:
- Name — the project’s display name
- Project location — a free-text location field
- Start date and End date — the project’s timeline (mm/dd/yyyy)
- Person responsible — a dropdown listing team members with access to the workspace
When you’re done, click Save to apply the changes. The project card updates immediately to reflect the new details.
Step 3: Change the responsible person
Section titled “Step 3: Change the responsible person”To reassign a project, open Edit as described above and select a new name from the Person responsible dropdown. This is useful when ownership shifts between team members, for example, if a project moves from one surveyor to another.
Tip: The responsible person is shown directly on each project card (“The responsible person is [Name]”), making it easy to see ownership at a glance without opening the project.
Step 4: Delete a project
Section titled “Step 4: Delete a project”Click Delete from the project menu. A confirmation window will appear:
Warning!
Do you really want to delete this project?
Click OK to permanently delete the project, or Cancel to keep it.
Warning: Deleting a project is permanent and cannot be undone. All datasets, files, and data associated with the project will be removed, and the freed-up space will be reflected in your Used storage total.
