Dock Management

Dock management is part of your organization’s infrastructure setup, alongside user permissions and account settings. It lets you connect automated drone docking stations to AVAG, so imagery captured during scheduled or remote flights uploads directly into your workspace without manual intervention.

Access it from Dock management in the Team section of the sidebar.

Note: Dock management is company-level, not project-level. Docks you configure here are available across all projects for your organization.

Click Dock management in the sidebar. If no docks have been configured yet, you’ll see a No records found message. Click + New dock in the top-right corner to add one.

The New dock window collects the details needed to connect your docking station’s cloud storage to AVAG:

  • Name – a display name for the dock, used to identify it in lists and imports
  • AWS Bucket – the S3 bucket name where the dock uploads its captured data
  • AWS Access Key ID and AWS Secret Access Key – credentials AVAG uses to read from the bucket
  • AWS Region – the AWS region the bucket is hosted in
  • Delete in AWS after successful import – when checked, files are removed from the S3 bucket once AVAG has successfully imported them, freeing up storage on your AWS account
  • Drone serial number – the serial number of the drone operating from this dock
  • Dock serial number – the serial number of the physical docking station
  • Notes – optional free-text notes (site location, maintenance history, etc.)

Tip: Keep Delete in AWS after successful import unchecked if you want to retain a backup copy of raw flight data in your own AWS account.

Click Save to add the dock. It will now appear in the Dock management list, and any data uploaded to the linked S3 bucket by that drone/dock pairing will be picked up and imported automatically.
